The team of Al Tarab translates and subtitles an average of 120 African films into Spanish for the African Film Festival of Cordoba each year. After their screening at the festival, the films are kept in Al Tarab’s Film Archive and a subtitled copy is delivered to the owner of the rights. Currently, this is the largest film archive in the Spanish-speaking world of African cinema, with close to 700 feature films, short features and documentaries in their original version and subtitle in Spanish. The list of titles is available on the webpage of the African Film Festival of Cordoba. Al Tarab also looks after the copies of the films they have received over the last eight years but that have not been selected to be subtitled or screened. There are approximately 4,000 film productions in English, French, Arab and Portuguese. These copies may be looked at prior appointment at the Al Tarab headquarters in Seville.
